Amanda Grimes

Hi! I’m Amanda Grimes—a wife, mom of four, former early childhood educator, and lifelong lover of creativity. After converting to the Catholic faith in 2012, I developed a deep appreciation for sacred art and the incredible stories it shares about our faith.
When I’m not creating with Sacred Kindling, you’ll usually find me knitting, crocheting, searching for Pokémon cards, enjoying the outdoors with my family, or tearing up the volleyball court with a group of fellow moms. I love helping children discover the beauty of sacred art because every painting, statue, and stained-glass window has a story to tell. Each time we look closer, we have the opportunity to discover something new about our faith and the world around us.
Allie Hildebrand
A Texas transplant, Allie originally came to Minnesota for missionary work but stayed for her husband—proving she loves him significantly more than sub-zero temperatures. Allie is currently living deep in the messy trenches of motherhood with her six kids, operating on a delicate ecosystem of grace, dangerously high caffeine levels, and fistfuls of chocolate. When she isn’t refereeing her miniature army, she uses her Bachelor of Fine Arts and background in iconography to curate a home centered on beauty, truth, and faith. She and her husband desire passionately that their children grow up visibly surrounded by the splendor of their beliefs (and, occasionally, a stray baseball).
